AirNLP Brand Guidelines

AirNLP's visual identity reflects our belief that artificial intelligence should feel calm, capable, and approachable. Every element — from our logo and typography to our products and interfaces — is designed to communicate clarity, trust, and craftsmanship. These guidelines explain how to represent the AirNLP brand consistently across products, partnerships, press, and the broader community.

Wordmark

The AirNLP wordmark is the primary expression of our visual identity. Designed with clean proportions and balanced geometry, it's intended to feel timeless, confident, and understated — rather than demanding attention, it communicates quiet confidence through simplicity.

The proportions, spacing, and letterforms are fixed and should always appear exactly as provided.

Do

  • Use the official AirNLP wordmark.
  • Maintain generous clear space.
  • Scale proportionally.
  • Use approved color variations.

Don't

  • Stretch or distort the logo.
  • Rotate or skew it.
  • Add outlines, gradients, or effects.
  • Recreate the wordmark using another typeface.
  • Place it on backgrounds that reduce legibility.

Symbol

The AirNLP symbol represents intelligence in motion. Its continuous geometry reflects the flow of ideas, information, and autonomous systems — every curve contributes to a sense of movement, precision, and connection while remaining simple enough to feel timeless.

The symbol may be used independently where AirNLP is already recognizable, or alongside the wordmark when additional clarity is needed. Always provide generous clear space around it.

Do

  • Use approved artwork.
  • Preserve proportions.
  • Maintain clear spacing.
  • Use official color variations.

Don't

  • Modify the geometry.
  • Rotate or distort the symbol.
  • Add decorative effects.
  • Combine it with other logos.
  • Recreate or redraw the symbol.

HOWI swirl

The HOWI swirl is the visual identity of HOWI. Inspired by conversation, movement, and hospitality, it represents the continuous exchange between people, places, and artificial intelligence. While it shares the AirNLP design philosophy, it remains a distinct product identity.

The swirl should only be used in connection with HOWI, and should never replace the AirNLP symbol.

Logo usage

Our marks should only be used when directly referring to AirNLP, its products, or official partnerships.

Do

  • Use official assets.
  • Follow these guidelines.
  • Preserve spacing and proportions.
  • Use high-quality artwork.

Don't

  • Imply endorsement or sponsorship.
  • Incorporate our marks into another brand.
  • Create derivative logos.
  • Modify or animate our logos in unsupported ways.
  • Use our branding in misleading or unrelated contexts.

Color

The AirNLP color system is intentionally restrained. White space is one of our most important design elements — color is used sparingly to establish hierarchy, communicate interaction, and create focus, not decoration.

Our palette combines clean neutrals with carefully selected blue and violet accents that reflect intelligence, clarity, and optimism. Interfaces should feel calm rather than busy.

Typography

Typography is fundamental to the AirNLP identity. We favor modern, geometric sans-serif typefaces — Inter, in practice — with balanced proportions, generous spacing, and exceptional readability across every device.

Headlines should feel confident without being aggressive. Body text should feel effortless to read. Typography always supports the content — it never competes with it.

Labels and section headings are always sentence case — we don't use uppercase, letter-spaced styling anywhere on the site or in the product.

Photography

Photography should document the process of building. Rather than relying on generic corporate imagery, we prefer authentic moments that capture products, prototypes, environments, and the people creating them.

Whenever possible, photography should feature real AirNLP spaces, products, and experiences. Authenticity always outweighs perfection.

Illustration

Illustration helps communicate ideas that photography cannot. Our illustration style favors minimal forms, soft gradients, architectural compositions, spatial interfaces, and subtle dimensionality.

Illustrations should simplify complex ideas while maintaining a premium aesthetic — avoid overly decorative or cartoon-inspired styles.

Motion

Motion should feel intentional. Every animation should communicate continuity, depth, or interaction — transitions stay smooth, restrained, and purposeful.

Movement should enhance the experience, not distract from it.

Voice & tone

AirNLP communicates with confidence, curiosity, and clarity. We avoid unnecessary jargon, exaggerated marketing language, and empty superlatives.

Our writing should feel:

  • Clear
  • Intelligent
  • Approachable
  • Honest
  • Optimistic

We explain advanced technology in language people can understand.

Design principles

Everything we build is guided by a consistent set of principles.

  • Clarity over complexity. The best interfaces require the least explanation.
  • Intelligence without intimidation. Powerful technology should feel approachable.
  • Purposeful motion. Animation should communicate — not decorate.
  • Human-centered by default. Technology should adapt to people, not the other way around.
  • Every detail matters. Thoughtful craftsmanship creates lasting experiences.

The Field Lab

The Field Lab is where AirNLP comes to life. Located at The Silver Beach Inn in St. Joseph, Michigan, it serves as our workshop, creative studio, and innovation space — where products are designed, interfaces are refined, hardware is tested, prototypes are assembled, and ideas evolve into real software.

The Field Lab reflects our belief that great products are built through experimentation, iteration, and real-world experience. It's both a physical workspace and a symbol of how we build.

Brand partnerships

When displaying AirNLP alongside partner brands, maintain generous spacing and clear visual hierarchy. Each identity should retain its integrity without competing for attention.

Never modify partner logos or AirNLP marks. Co-branded materials should accurately represent the relationship between organizations.

Press

When referring to AirNLP in editorial or press materials, describe the company as:

"AirNLP is an artificial intelligence research and product company building intelligent software that helps people work, create, and communicate more naturally."

Avoid describing AirNLP solely as a chatbot, automation platform, or language model company.
