AirNLP

Field Lab

Where ideas become products.

Field Lab is AirNLP's physical workshop and creative studio — a real space at The Silver Beach Inn in St. Joseph, Michigan, where AI products are designed, built, tested, and refined before they're released to the world.

The space

Field Lab is part workshop, part creative studio, part AI laboratory. It's the one place where software, hardware, design, documentation, photography, product video, and real customer experiences all come together — under one roof, on the same afternoon. Nothing here is theoretical. If it's in Field Lab, someone is actively building it, breaking it, or figuring out how to make it better.

What happens here

Building new AI products

Turning research into working software, one prototype at a time.

Testing experimental features

Trying ideas early, in the open, before they're ready for everyone.

Designing physical AI experiences

Shaping how AI feels in a real room, not just on a screen.

Product photography and launch content

Capturing the work as it happens, for every launch that follows.

Hardware prototyping

Building and rebuilding the devices HOWI runs on.

Software engineering

Writing, testing, and shipping the systems behind every world.

Research and experimentation

Running the studies that show up later as AirNLP research.

Customer experience testing

Sitting with real guests and real questions until the answers hold up.

Current projects

A snapshot of what's actively in motion inside Field Lab right now.

HOWI

Our flagship spatial AI world engine — the proof that everything built here holds up outside the lab.

Active

AirNLP Editorial Engine

An autonomous system that researches, writes, and publishes AirNLP's own research.

Active

Autonomous AI systems

A growing set of self-directed departments — from product intelligence to documentation — helping run the company itself.

In progress

Future research initiatives

Early explorations that haven't earned a name yet.

Exploring

Why Field Lab exists

Great products aren't built in boardrooms. They're built by hand — through experimentation, iteration, curiosity, and a refusal to ship something that hasn't been lived with first.

Field Lab exists to give those ideas a place to take shape — a dedicated space where a rough idea gets tested against a real room and real people, long before it becomes a feature, let alone a product.
