Recognized the Moment
Recognized the moment you walk in
Guests using a paired kiosk during their stay are recognized and greeted by name automatically — no credentials required.
If a kiosk is already sitting in a guest's room during their actual stay, asking them to type in an email to prove who they are is a strange extra step.
What shipped
Kiosks now auto-match the active reservation by date and time for the unit or property they're bound to — no email, phone, or code needed. Possession of a kiosk already tied to that specific room is the trust signal. Guests get a personalized "Welcome, [First name]" greeting, with "& guests" when the party size is more than one.
How it works
- Unit-bound kiosks match their specific unit's reservation
- Property-bound kiosks only auto check in for single-unit ("whole house") properties, where there's no ambiguity about which reservation applies
- The active window runs from 18 hours before check-in to 6 hours after checkout
- If nothing matches, any stale recognition clears automatically so the kiosk falls back to a generic welcome
Why it matters
It's a small interaction, but it's the first thing a guest experiences at the kiosk — and removing an unnecessary identity step at exactly that moment matters more than it sounds.
